Tholoana Sustainable Development and Environmental Consultants

Goals and Objectives

Tholoana aims to become the sustainable development partner of choice in the SADC region, particularly as regards the development of projects which will result in the empowerment of previously disadvantaged communities. We work on medium to large-scale development projects ranging from mining applications, urban renewal projects,waste management, training and capacity building, to providing solutions that facilitate service delivery at various levels.

Tholoana is well-positioned as a leading B-BBEE Consultancy specialising in sustainable development and renewable energy strategies that will become increasingly necessary as South Africa moves into the second decade of the twenty first century.

The linkage between government’s service delivery drive and sustainable development policy and framework is obvious. The challenge lies in balancing the need for faster and more meaningful development with protection of our natural endowment.Tholoana contributes to maintaining this delicate balance through its environmental advisory and sustainable development services.

By engaging our partners and clients, we have offered and continue to offer:

  • A professional and sustainable suite of products and services to meet the environmental management needs of both the private and public sectors;
  • Project-specific intervention strategies that accelerate the rate of service delivery, while responding to climate change adaptation and mitigation imperatives;
  • Best practice solutions and fund-raising advisory services for cash-strapped municipalities to access Municipal Infrastructure Grants and other sources of funding;
  • Advice that contributes to empowering impoverished communities and ultimately eradicating poverty through renewable energy projects.
